Martina M. Mächler in collaboration with Ludwig Schilling

We warmly invite you to the opening of our upcoming show act 3 by Martina M. Mächler in collaboration with Ludwig Schilling, taking place on Friday, February 11, 4–8 pm at Kreuzbühlstrasse 1 in Zurich.

In act 3, Martina M. Mächler (*1991) develops a sound-based scenography in collaboration with sound designer Ludwig Schilling (*1992) at Wasteland. Audio tracks, text fragments and subtle references lead through the rooms of Haus zum Falken, built in 1819, which will make way for a new building after the exhibition ends. act 3 centers a fragmented, polyphonic self, failing at an absolute form of language, but gaining confidence in collectively found forms of expression.

act 3 is the first spatial staging of Mächler's book of poems i left my body behind that will be published this fall, in which they engage with the permeability of language(s), utterances and guards within a shared body.
